Five-letter word lists.

Small, complete lists you can check against a clue. Every entry below comes from the same dictionary as the tools.

The 2026-10-05 ENABLE snapshot contains 8,636 five-letter entries. It includes uncommon words and inflections. It is not the current official Wordle answer or accepted-guess list. These examples are fixed dictionary filters, not daily spoilers.

Turn a list into your own search

Use the five-letter finder to pin letters to positions and add letters that must appear. Repeating P twice in the include box means at least two Ps, including any P already fixed in a position. You do not need to remove fixed letters from that box.

If your clues come from colored tiles, use the Wordle solver. An ordinary exclude box cannot express “one L is present but a second L is not,” nor can it track the positions where a yellow L cannot go. The full board can.

For a physical or digital rack, use the word unscrambler instead. It limits the supply of each letter and allows two blank tiles. A pattern finder has no rack supply and solves a different task.
